At St Mary’s church, Chard we have been asked to assist with monitoring the condition of the lead roof of this Grade I listed building where there is under-lead corrosion of the roof. The church have been successful in obtaining English Heritage funding to assist with this project, which it is hoped may inform the approach to be taken in similar contexts elsewhere.
We have also been commissioned by the church of St Mary, Bridgwater, to prepare a scheme for reordering this Grade I listed church, parts of which date back to the 13th Century. The church enjoys a prominent position in the town, and the reordering is intended to facilitate the wider community use and appreciation of this fine building.
