Huish Sixth

All the scaffolding is down and the building name has now been fitted outside the main entrance in stainless steel ‘HUISH SIXTH’. This is an exciting time as it is a reminder that the building work is coming towards the end of the contract. But there is still a lot of work to do and inside the building activity is high.

All the finishes and fittings are being completed and installed, including carpets, marmoleum, worktops, toilets and disabled toilets. The kitchen fittings have also been delivered and protected on site ready for final fitting. Hoistway are on site installing their platform lifts. There will be one in each block. These lifts, as their name suggests, provide an enclosed platform to assist disabled persons to the first floor. They are not fully enclosed lift cars and are not intended for regular heavy use. They will be available by key control under supervision.
