More than 100 people attended the open day held on January 8 at the Natural England site at Shapwick Road. It was pleasing that the meeting was so well attended by local people who had several interesting comments, and where possible their ideas will be incorporated into the proposed scheme. There will be another opportunity to comment on the revised scheme from 11 am to 1 pm on Saturday 29 January, again at the Lifelong Learning Centre on the Natural England site at Shapwick Road, Westhay. Following this, a planning application will be prepared for submission to Mendip District Council. A Q&A fact sheet has been prepared to provide responses to some frequently asked questions, and this is available for download below, as are drawings of the revised scheme.
