A scheme to provide student and key worker housing on a site close to Taunton town centre, the hospital and colleges. The riverside position forms an important edge between the open country and the urban centre. The scheme aims to have a low energy footprint, drawing heat from geothermal sources. The site has good pedestrian, cycle and public transport links. Modular construction is planned for the 200 study bedrooms that are clustered in groups with common rooms opening off a central covered street. Communal bars and meeting rooms have elevated views over the town weir and park.
